Representatives from the Minnesota Credit Union Network, CUNA, WOCCU and the Central de Cooperativas del Area Nacional (CENCOPAN), a Paraguayan credit union organization, met on May 25 in Asuncion, Paraguay with Luis Castiglioni, vice president of Paraguay (at far end of table) and delivered to him a letter from Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty. This was the second meeting between Minnesota and Paraguay through the World Council of Credit Union's "Partnership Program." MCUN is working to develop a partnership with CENCOPAN. In his letter, Gov. Pawlenty wrote that the partnership between MCUN and CENCOPAN "can have a positive and lasting effect on the lives of Paraguay's credit union members."
