ELKHART, Ind. – Congressman Chris Chocola (R-Ind.), a supporter of credit unions' tax exempt status, stopped by Bayer FCU when he was in town on May 25. The first term congressman who also supports the Financial Services Regulatory Relief Act of 2004 – H.R. 1375 – toured the CU's facility and met with employees for a question and answer session. Among the topics of the questions Chocola fielded were rising gas prices and military concerns. Bayer FCU has $219.2 million in assets and more than 31,000 members.
