JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Health Services Credit Union is the latest credit union to jump on the name change train. The $78 million credit union has been renamed HealthAmerica Credit Union to better represent its growing field of membership. HACU on-site facilities serve employees at 11 major health centers, including Mayo Clinic, St. Vincent's, Baptist, Memorial and Shands Hospitals, several BlueCross Blue Shield offices, and the former Humana Insurance (now the SunTrust Tower). In addition to serving all area hospitals, HealthAmerica CU now serves members in 46 states. HACU CEO Maury Pilver says that the credit union's on-site banking presence at major employers continues to expand, with several future on-site facility requests being reviewed. Credit union signage will be replaced over the next several months.
