ARLINGTON, Va. – Bob Marquette, Members 1st Federal Credit Union president and CEO, will join NAFCU’s Board of Directors after the association’s annual business meeting July 16. At the end of NAFCU’s Annual Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia, Marquette will begin his three-year term as a director at large on the board. He replaces Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union Board Member Frank DeMita on the trade organization’s board. Marquette has been in the credit union movement for 30 years. He currently serves on the Philadelphia Federal Reserve’s Credit Union Advisory Council, NAFCU’s Region II Advisory Committee, and the Oversight Task Force for the CU Campaign for Consumer Choice. Previously, he was a member of NAFCU’s Legislative Committee. Marquette is a board member and Fundraising Committee Chair for the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation and serves on a number of state league committees. He will join NAFCU Chair Diane Furnas, president and CEO of Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union, serving her third term on the board; Brad Beal, president and CEO of Nevada Federal Credit Union in Region V; and Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union Board Member Dave Gilbert in Region II, who have won reelection to their seats on NAFCU’s Board. NAFCU Board members may serve up to three consecutive three-year terms.
