WASHINGTON – The District of Columbia Credit Union League, through its community involvement committee, has helped make a child's hospital stay a little bit brighter. The league has recently raised $10,000 to transform two blank white walls in the operating room waiting area of Children's National Medical Center into colorful works of art. The Hospital commissioned an area artist to create the theme pieces that represent the credit union mission of "People Helping People". The child-friendly art project is part of the Hospital's New Horizons – Creating Healing Spaces Campaign.
