NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Jobseekers and more than three dozen potential employers bustled around Water and Power Community Credit Union job fairs May 8 at the Granada Hills branch and May 15 in the Montebello branch. The job fairs attracted teens, college students and recent college graduates looking for part-time, first-time and career starter jobs. Participating employers included Vons, Albertson's, Starbucks, Mann Theaters, Six Flags Magic Mountain, the U.S. Postal Service, Adelphia Communication, Fatburger and the U.S. Army and Navy. Approximately 250 job-seekers handed out resumes, filled out applications and introduced themselves to a variety of companies at each event. Participants were also entered in a raffle to win a WPCCU-sponsored $500 savings certificate.
