CORVALLIS, Ore. – Credit union data processor Summit Information Systems, a Fiserv subsidiary, is now certified for Credit Union Service Corporation's Next Generation shared branching network. Summit completed all the testing required to get its Spectrum Teller platform certified according to NGN ISO 8583 shared branching specs to work with Next Generation. Forty-six of Summit's 300 CU credit union customers are on the Next Generation network. CUSC launched Next Generation last year to help with fraud deterrence and to provide credit unions with a more open architecture. CUSC operates the industry's largest shared branching network. It has close to 70% of those CUs that participate in shared branching in its network.
