ALBANY, N.Y. -State Employees Federal Credit Union Foundation has hosted a Monopoly Tournament to benefit The Center for the Disabled. Over $7,800 was raised during the popular event. Some 100 players including SEFCU staff, members and local business representatives participated in the two round tournament. Major corporate sponsors participating in the event included Capital District Physicians Health Plan, Cool Insuring Agency, CUNA Mutual Group, Hershberg & Hershberg, Lane Press of Albany, Milliman USA, Meridian Capital Partners, Inc., NYS Industries for the Disabled, P.W. Campbell, R. W. Larsen Associates P.C., St. Anne Institute, Wachovia Securities, and William B. Bates & Associates. SEFCU has raised more than $43,000 for The Center for the Disabled since the tournament’s inception 12 years ago. This year’s Monopoly Champion was Samantha Jones, SEFCU State Street Branch service specialist and the 2004 Monopoly Mogul Champion honors went to Milliman USA. The SEFCU Foundation is the charitable arm of SEFCU and serves children’s organizations throughout SEFCU’s three service areas including the Capital Region, Binghamton, and Syracuse.
