PORTLAND, Ore. -Northwest Corporate Credit Union recently celebrated its 26th anniversary at its annual meeting held in late April. Among other business the corporate re-elected the following five board members to three-year terms at the meeting: * Bill Anderson, President/CEO, Mid Oregon FCU, Bend, Oregon * Howard Benson, President/CEO, Malheur FCU, Ontario, Oregon * Gordon Hoerauf, President/CEO, Oregon Community CU, Eugene, Oregon * Ed Seidenberg, EVP/CFO, Harborstone CU, Tacoma, Washington * Dan Webber, President/CEO, State Hwy Employees District #6 CU, Spokane, Washington The meeting was held in conjunction with the 2004 Education and Economic Conference at the Hilton in Eugene, Oregon. More than 300 credit union members attended this two-day conference. Featured speakers were economist Steven Rick of CUNA who spoke about the current state of the U.S. economy, Mark Webster of Capco, discussing Check 21 and changes in the payments systems, and former cabinet member of Mexico President Vicente Fox, Juan Hernandez, who addressed the Hispanic market.
