ONTARIO, Calif. – Two big credit union players are hooking up to extend ATM access in Hawaii and Guam The CO-OP Network and WesCorp reached a deal that could potentially have 27 WesCorp member CUs in Hawaii and Guam joining CO-OP’s ATM network. Rand N. Yamasaki, WesCorp’s Senior Vice President of Pacific Operations, said this deal does not mean all 27 CUs will join on with the CO-OP. He said there are some competition for the business from other vendors, specifically IntegraSys/CNS. This is the kind of deal WesCorp said it would deliver on when it finalized its merger with PacCorp, the former corporate for Hawaii and Guam CUs, last year. The two corporates first discussed a merger a few years back, but it never came to be. CO-OP has placed 41 ATMs in Hawaii over the last three years. This deal with WesCorp could potentially bring 39 more into CO-OP’s 18,000 ATM strong surcharge-free network. For those Hawaii and Guam CUs that select CO-OP, there will also be ATM and debit card processing available
