HOUSTON, Texas – Credit Union Acceptance Corp. has expanded into the Fort Worth/Denton markets with the addition of Community CU based in Plano, as both an owner and client of the CUSO. CUAC was founded by eight Houston-based credit unions to represent credit unions in the auto finance market. Community CU has $1.6 billion in assets and more than 225,000 members. For many years the credit union served portions of Tarrant and Denton Counties, but CCU was recently approved to serve all of the two counties. CCU President/CEO Gary Base said by joining CUAC, the credit union will now be able to offer these communities "great competitive rates through an outstanding lending program." In addition to serving CUs in Texas, CUAC also provides services for CUs in Florida and South Carolina. -
