OKLAHOMA CITY – Southeast Corporate is making it easier for its members to capture images at the branch. The corporate is working with Advanced Financial Solutions, Inc. to make the AFS Branch Capture application available to Southeast Corporate credit unions. Branch Capture allows financial institutions to capture images at the branch and truncate images, then transmit to a processing center. This is one of many moves Southeast has made to prepare for Check 21, which corporates believe will help facilitate full-blown image exchange. Southeast Corporate was one of the first corporates to join CheckClear's Endpoint Exchange Network last year, which WesCorp, SunCorp and others also belong to. “With the provisions of the Check 21 Act going into effect this October we needed to position our member credit unions to capture check images as early in the clearing process as possible, particularly at the branches,” said Kay Moon, Southeast Corporate SVP of Correspondent Services.
