ONTARIO, Calif. – About 140 credit unions will have access to surcharge free ATMs through an affiliation between the New York State Credit Union League's CU24 network and the CO-OP Network. The agreement allows CU24 participating credit unions to expand ATM access for their members through CO-OP Network's nearly 18,000 surcharge-free machines around the country. Meanwhile, CO-OP Network gains expanded ATM access in the Northeast for its credit union membership from around the country. "This partnership helps CU24 continue to develop long-term EFT processing and brand relationships," said NYSCUL President William Mellin. "We're able to open up national resources for our ATM clients while still maintaining day-to-day contact and furthering our status as a support and ATM development organization." "It's taken almost two years to complete this agreement whereby CO-OP Network and the CU24 network will benefit equally," said CO-OP Network CEO Robert Rose. "Ultimately, this is an exceptional opportunity to bolster CO-OP Network's standing with the credit union community, while CU24 credit unions will be able to provide unparalleled national surcharge-free ATM access to their members."
