Eagle Community Credit Union, Lake Forest, Calif., has promoted Amy McCasland to Lake Forest branch manager and current Placentia Branch Manager Andrea Alcala to Rancho Santa Margarita branch manager. Kitsap Credit Union, Bremerton, Wash., has named Connie Rouse PSNS branch manager. Riverside County’s Credit Union, Calif., has named Karen Gracia Indio branch manager. Rogue Federal Credit Union, Medford, Ore., has named Matt Stephenson information services manager. CoastHills Federal Credit Union, Lompoc, Calif., has elected the following officers to its board: Dr. Robert McIntire, chairman; Ted Eckert, first vice chair; Ed Wess second vice chair; Arthur Scheithauer, treasurer; and Roy Stovall, secretary. In addition CoastHills FCU has elected the following directors: F. Dave Atkinson; Georgia O. Kizziah, Hugh Rafferty, and Wray Stitch. Inwood Credit Union, Oakland, Calif., Board Director Arnold Hopkins has retired after over 55 years of service to the credit union movement. Hopkins’ credit union roots began in the late 1950′s after he retired as radio mechanic for the U.S. Navy in Alameda. Since then Hopkins has helped to organize more than a half a dozen credit unions in the Oakland, California area during his career as a field representative for the then new California Credit Union League. American First Credit Union, La Habra, Calif., has promoted Ryan Zilker to assistant vice president of marketing. MacDill Federal Credit Union, Tampa, has broken ground on a new financial center. A tentative opening date is scheduled for August of 2004. The new Tampa financial center is just one of three locations scheduled to open by the end of 2004. The 6,000-square-foot antique brick building will have five drive-through lanes, including one with an ATM. The branch will have approximately 15 employees. Oshkosh Truck Credit Union, Wis., has purchased a 1.8-acre parcel for its new facility. The building will be approximately 4,100 square feet and offer two drive-up lanes, an ATM and expanded parking. The new OTCU office will be within one-half mile of the north, south and west plants of Oshkosh Truck Corporation. Heritage Federal Credit Union, Newburgh, Ind., has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new administration center. Construction on the two-story, 11,000 square-foot structure should be completed in the Fall, 2004. In addition, HFCU has purchased land in the Northfield development and plans to begin construction on that office in 2005. Additional branch facilities are currently being considered by the board of directors and senior management. Great Lakes Credit Union, North Chicago, Ill., has opened a new full service facility in North Waukegan. The Waukegan Service Center features a 24-hour drive-up ATM and a drive-up teller lane. Eagle Community Credit Union, Lake Forest, Calif., has hosted the grand opening “circus” of its Rancho Santa Margarita branch. Event festivities revolved around the circus theme and included balloons, bubbles, and face painting for children and a live band entertained adults. In addition, officers from Rancho Santa Margarita Police Services were on hand to photo I.D. and fingerprint children for their parent’s records. This vital service helps locate and identify children in the event they get lost or are abducted. Town & Country Federal Credit Union, South Portland, Maine, has opened its fourth branch located at the Northgate Shopping Center. The new full-service branch features teller windows, safe deposit boxes, and drive-thru ATM and night depository services. In addition, the new branch will also be equipped with check-cashing ATM’s, the first of their kind at any financial institution in Maine and self service touch screen kiosks.
