GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Piedmont Chapter of the North Carolina Credit Union League has created a fund for small credit unions in the name of the late Carolina FCU President/CEO Jack Jenkins. "Jack served as chairman of the NCCUL Small CU Task Force and committed his career to helping small credit unions across North Carolina so this fund is a fitting tribute," said Piedmont Chapter Board Director and Carolinas Telco FCU Chief Operating Officer Bill Flowers. Administered by the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, the fund will allow small credit unions in North and South Carolina to apply for educational or instructional grant funds. So far CUNA Mutual has contributed $1,000 and the chapter has endowed the fund with a $5,000 donation. To make a contribution to the fund, send proceeds to: The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, Jack Jenkins Fund, PO Box 49379, Greensboro, N.C. 27419.
