TUKWILA, Wash. – Boeing Employees Credit Union has found a way to tie its new “eStatement” service to a good cause. BECU will donate $3 to the Children's Miracle Network for every member who signs up for eStatements before June 30, 2004. The eStatements are electronic monthly account statements that BECU members can access via their home computers. Members can choose the free eStatement service and opt-out of receiving their regular paper statement in the mail. “As a credit union, we're committed to finding ways to save our members' money,” said Tom Berquist, vice president of marketing at BECU. “This new service is free for the members, helps conserve natural resources and will save the credit union thousands of dollars in postage and printing costs.” The Children's Miracle Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for over 170 children's hospitals throughout the U.S. All funds donated by BECU will benefit the Seattle Children's Hospital.
