VACAVILLE, Calif. -Travis Credit Union recently made diversity a priority during an organization-wide Cultural Diversity Day. "We recognize that cultural diversity within our staff has brought us a greater pool of talent and skills and the opportunity to work with really unique, interesting individuals," said Travis CU President/CEO Patsy Van Ouwerkerk. "Taking time out from our work week to not only recognize, but celebrate this diversity helps strengthen and unify us as a team." Held in the credit union's community room, festivities included a pictorial display from the various regions and cultures; traditional dishes from the South Pacific, Asia, Central America, Africa, Europe Philippines Canada and the U.S.; and traditional music and dance performed by staffers.
