LATHAM, N.Y. – For his spirit and enthusiasm in supporting shared branch networking, the New York State Shared Service Centers has created the Ralph W. Hillman Marketing Award in honor of the late CEO of Nassau County FCU and chairman of the NYSSSC Board of Directors. Hillman passed away on May 19, 2003. He served as NYSSSC chairman of the board for nearly two years and had been a board member since 1998. “In that time he would never settle for anything but the best.for excellence, in not one area, but in all areas,” said Marc Inger, NYSSSC assistant vice president. “He tirelessly dedicated himself to promoting the network, lending his voice and support to the cause.” The award will seek to recognize one outstanding participant in the network “who captures the same energy and enthusiasm that made Hillman the spirited leader that he was,” Inger said. NYSSSC participants are encouraged to apply. All completed applications are due by April 1. The award winner will be announced at the NY State CU League’s annual meeting June 15-18. For details, contact Inger at [email protected].
