NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Some industry watchers say trust services will continue to be considered a viable CUSO strategy to capture member business going forward. Two experts who have firsthand knowledge will share details of how credit unions can compete with other trust firms. John Henry, CUNA Mutual senior vice president and CEO of MEMBERS Development Co. and Dan Wroblewski, vice president of wealth management at CUNA Mutual Group will present a trust services CUSO case study at the National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations’ annual conference May 2-5 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. MEMBERS Development is a partnership between CUs and CUNA Mutual to develop new products and services and is the brainchild behind the launch of MEMBERS Trust Co., the industry’s first nationally-chartered, credit union-owned trust company. Henry and Wroblewski’s presentation will include ways CUSOs can seek out opportunities to expand member services and efforts to protect member assets. For more details, log on to www.nacuso.org.
