LATHAM, N.Y. – The New York State Credit Union League went live recently with 14 new Web sites – one for each of the districts of the League – the provide in-depth information about credit unions within the specific geographic areas. The district sites are accessible through the League’s main Web site. Each features local district news, upcoming events, awards and certificate recognition, district leadership and League contact information, as well as a photo album. There is also a secure, password-protected area for district officials where they can access tools, forms, and bylaw and goals information. There are also links to other specialized service providers for the League such as CU24, CUC Mortgage, CUNA, CUNA Mutual, Empire Corporate FCU, NCUA, and CenterLink, the League’s password-protected member site. New York State Credit Union League President/CEO William Mellin said the district sites were designed because of feedback the League got from member credit unions. “They were looking for better ways to communicate credit union to credit union, credit union to district, and district to the League.” The 14 district sites include: Adirondack, Buffalo, Capital, Catskill-Hudson, Finger Lakes, Jamestown, Long Island, Metropolitan, Niagara, Rochester, Southern Tier, Syracuse, Utica-Rome, and Westchester-Rockland.
