MADISON, Wis. – University of Wisconsin Credit Union wants students here to “take charge of their credit.” The $676 million credit union has joined forces with a group of UW-Madison journalism students to help educate students about credit during the “Take Charge of Your Credit: Campus Credit Education Week.” The week's events include free credit counseling sessions, class lectures and a promotional contest to find the student with the highest credit card debt. Students register for the contest at [email protected] and one lucky winner will be awarded $300 to put towards paying off debt.
