WASHINGTON – The former marketing director for Symitar has formed an organization he says will help promote the products and services of smaller technology companies to credit unions and banks. John San Filippo calls his new enterprise The Financial Technology Alliance and said at the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference that alliance members will be announced in coming weeks. They offer “a wide array of technology products, including e-statements, personal computers, technology consulting, intranet software and full-color business cards ordered over the Internet,” San Filippo says. The Web site is at www.financialtechmarket.com. “During my 20-plus years working in the financial services,” San Filippo says, “I’ve had the opportunity to see all kinds of great technology products. The problem with many of them is that their creators just don’t have the resources available for effective marketing. “In other words, they have a tough time spreading the word. The Alliance, working through The Financial Technology Marketplace Web site and other means, will attempt to rectify that situation.”
