HARRISBURG, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union is revamping its marketing department. For 2004 the overall department approach will use the concept of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC). IMC coordinates all communications into one unified message coming from the various units within the department to ensure repetition and consistency of PSECU’s key messages. As part of the move a newly formed Public Relations unit will focus on implementing a financial literacy program in schools and developing a publicity program, sponsorships, and community involvement. PSECU has named long time staffers Margaret Delmonico public relations department administrator and Melissa Etshied public relations manager. In addition, Barbara Bowker has been named assistant vice president of marketing. Among her responsibilities, Bowker will oversee a new loyalty project, business development, advertising, the mail/inventory center and document management. “Barb is a proven and effective leader,” said Joan Mallgrave, vice president of marketing. “She has a proven track record with our organization and clearly understands our vision.”
