MADISON, Wis. – CUNA Mutual Group recently announced that it will contribute $100,000 to support a number of initiatives of the National Credit Union Foundation. Loretta Burd, CUNA Mutual Board chairman, made the contribution on Feb. 22 at the NCUF’s 16th Annual Herb Wegner Memorial Awards Dinner, held in conjunction with CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference. “We are honored to support an organization that embodies the spirit of credit unions through its efforts to strengthen and develop the U.S. credit union movement,” Burd said. The charitable arm of the credit union movement, the NCUF funds projects that support industrywide development initiatives, including consumer financial education, and homes for low-income people.
