WASHINGTON – Sheilah Montgomery, president/CEO of 1st Choice Credit Union in Atlanta, has been awarded a full scholarship to CUES' CEO Institute program. The CEO Institute is a three-week program spread over three years that focuses on strategic planning, organizational effectiveness and strategic development. The $20,700 scholarship will cover the full tuition including rooming costs and most meals. AACUC Chairwoman Helen Godfrey and CUES Chairwoman Mickey Wilson presented Montgomery with the scholarship at the AACUC's networking meeting on Feb. 23, held during CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference. This year's CEO Institute will be held at the Steinberg Conference Center at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, April 4-9; Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., April 18-23; and Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va., May 2-7. Those who complete the CEO Institute program and two post-segment projects are eligible to become a Certified Chief Executive (CCE).
