HOUSTON – PULSE EFT Association, the only ATM and EFT Network in the country that is owned by both banks and credit unions, has named a new chairman. The new Chairman is Jerry Host, director of Trustmark National Bank based in Jackson, Mississippi. Trustmark National is part of Trustmark Corporation, a $7.9 billion financial services company. Host is president of Trustmark's General Banking. He succeeds Fred Spratlin of First Tennessee Bank, who is retiring. Stan Paur, longtime president/CEO of PULSE, said the selection of Host by the board is a natural progression of his past and current service to the network as a director and a member of the audit committee. Host has been a member of the board since 1997. "Jerry has been a dedicated supporter of the PULSE program," Paur said. "He understands its value to the industry and has been a strong voice for PULSE's continuing independence. We look forward to his leadership."
