HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association is the latest league to sign with John M. Floyd & Associates to provide affiliated CUs with access to overdraft privilege services. The “Preferred Business Partner” agreement reached by PCUA and the company gives CUs access to the JMFA Overdraft Privilege program. “With overdraft privilege, Pennsylvania credit unions have the opportunity to enhance member satisfaction while also increasing their non-interest fee income,” said PCUA President/CEO Jim McCormack. In addition to PCUA, the other 10 leagues that have partnerships with the company for its overdraft privileges program are: Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas and Vermont, as well as the Credit Union League of the West (California, Nevada, Washington State, Oregon) and CUNA Strategic Services. According to JMFA, of 18,000 financial institutions in the U.S. more than 2,000 are estimated to have defined and communicated overdraft programs.
