WASHINGTON – Rep. Michael Oxley (R-Ohio), chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, and Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee will be the featured speakers for the opening session of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s 2004 National Policy conference on March 9. The day-long conference whose theme is “Advocacy in Action,” will focus on the effects of Washington’s political landscape on the future of the housing industry. Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio), chairman of the Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity, House Financial Services Committee, is also scheduled to speak later that day. The second general session of the day will feature CNN’s Crossfire co-hosts Tucker Carlson and Paul Begala.
