ALBANY, N.Y. – Empire Corporate FCU is set to open a new image-enabled item processing facility in Linthicum, Maryland. The corporate is planning on hosting a number of informational meetings with CUs in the region. “With the scheduled closing of the Richmond (VA) Federal Reserve facility in few months, our processing facility offers credit unions in the Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. areas a competitive, credit union-owned choice,” said Vic Vrigian, SVP, Member Sales & Service, Empire Corporate. The corporate is also hoping to interest CUs in the area in other products. The scheduled sessions won’t just cover item processing issues; they will cover other general financial issues that Empire might be able to help with through various products. “We hope credit unions consider attending one of our free sessions to learn more about what Empire brings to the table; not only in the check processing area, but in other important areas including mortgage interest rate risk and business services,” continued Vrigian.
