MADISON, Wis. – Judy Tharp, who has more than 24 years of experience working with credit unions, has joined CUNA Mutual’s Lending Solutions as vice president and solution development leader. In her new role, Tharp will focus on identifying and developing new ways for the Lending Solutions Team to assess credit unions’ lending environment and will oversee delivery of products and services to help CUs stimulate their lending programs. Tharp comes to CUNA Mutual from South Carolina FCU where she was senior vice president-administration since 1999. Prior to that, from 1994-1999, she was vice president at Founders FCU. She also started and managed Cape Fear Employees CU. Tharp has also held positions on several credit union boards and advisory groups including those serving the North Carolina Credit Union League, First Carolina Corporate, Harland Financial Services, Stevenson Blue Ribbon Panel for Credit Union Survival, and Credit Union Magazine. She was also named North Carolina Credit Union Person of the Year and was awarded the CUES Management Achievement Award.
