ALEXANDRIA, Va.-A familiar name to credit unions has resurfaced at their federal regulatory agency. NCUA Vice Chair JoAnn Johnson has announced that former Kraft Foods Federal Credit Union CEO Holly E. Herman will serve as her new executive assistant. In this post, she will advise Johnson on policy and regulatory matters. “There is no question, that as we move forward, Holly’s wealth of experience in the credit union industry will benefit the NCUA and the nation’s credit unions for years to come,” Johnson said. “As a former credit union CEO, I recognize the foremost responsibility of NCUA – and that is safety and soundness,” Herman said. “I am honored to serve Vice Chair Johnson in this role and look forward to working with the strong team at NCUA.” Herman has more than 22 years experience in financial services. She also served on CUNA’s Board while heading up the $500 million White Plains, N.Y. credit union and has been appointed to several national committees on important issues for credit unions. Before joining Kraft Foods Federal Credit Union, Herman was president and CEO of University and State Employees Credit Union in San Diego. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgetown University.
