Keesler Federal Credit Union, Biloxi, Miss., has recognized the following employees for their outstanding service in 2003: Loan Officer Amanda Berkley, President’s Award; Member Services Supervisor Donna Disalvo, Executive Award; and IT System Administrator Chad Brown, New Employee of the Year Award. Beacon Credit Union, Wabash, Ind., has been named the Wabash Business of the Year by the Wabash Area Chamber of Commerce. The award is given to a business that is an active supporter of the community, and contributes to the positive image of the Wabash area. Nevada Federal Credit Union, Las Vegas, has received the Trailblazer Award for Performance Excellence from the Nevada Quality Alliance for the second year in a row. The award is presented in recognition of high performing companies. Financial Resources Federal Credit Union, Bridgewater, N.J., has been presented the 2003 Economic Vitality Award from the Somerset County Business Partnership. The annual award honors companies that have made a significant economic impact in Somerset County through job creation and retention, increased capital assets, profitability and reinvestment. Five Star Credit Union, Dothan, Ala., has been presented three state awards from the Alabama Credit Union League. The first is the Merit Award which recognizes outstanding performance by a credit union, including financial management, member service and community involvement. The second is the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award for the credit union’s fundraising efforts for Wiregrass Area Food Bank. In addition, the Louise Herring Award was presented to the CU in recognition of its numerous teen financial literacy efforts. North Central Area Credit Union, Roscommon, Mich., has been named “Best Bank” by Roscommon County consumers during the People’s Choice Awards. The credit union was recognized for providing excellent member service.
