HARRISBURG, Pa. – It’s real apparent lately that credit unions are more on the minds of lawmakers. In recent weeks corporates, CUs, and CU leagues have had meetings with members of congress. The latest happened in Harrisburg, Pa. at Pennsylvania State Employees CU. The CU hosted Congressman Tim Holden, who represents the 17th District of Pennsylvania in the U.S. Holden toured the CU’s main office and met with CU leadership, who talked to the congressman about PSECU’s technologies and how certain legislation, like bankruptcy reform, may ultimately impact credit unions. Approximately 62,299 PSECU members reside in Congressman Holden’s 17th district. “It means a great deal when your congressional representative takes time out of his busy day to visit and learn about your organization,” said. PSECU Board member John J. Marisic.
