ARLINGTON, Va. – NASCUS has been elected chairman of the State Financial Regulators Roundable for 2004. NASCUS President/CEO Mary Martha Fortney is liaison to the group. SFRR was organized in 2000 to provide a forum for communication, coordination and cooperation among state regulatory associations in the promotion of effective state regulatory oversight of financial services providers. In addition to NASCUS, other members of SFRR include: the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA); the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC); the Money Transmitters Regulators Association (MTRA); the Conference of State Bank Supervisors (CSBS); the American Council of State Savings Supervisors (ACSSS), and the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators (AARMR). SFRR meets twice a year. Its next meeting is planned for March 26 in Washington, D.C.
