According to a recent Mediamark Research survey, while some 68% of teens age 12 to 19 say they decide how they spend their own money, only 12% agree with the statement "credit cards are great". Here is a look at some other findings: * 59% believe "Credit cards are dangerous because they allow you to spend more money than you have" * 50% try to save money and are careful how they spend it * 35% usually spend most of their money and buy what they want when they want * 44.8% say "My parents buy most everything I ask for" (20.% male; 24.8% female) * 31.1% say "I don't need to save now. I have the rest of my life to do that" (17.7% male; 13.4% female) Source: Mediamark Research
