HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. – The New Jersey Credit Union League has launched a Governmental Affairs Online Action Center as an interactive online resource for credit unions in the state. The Action Center, which is password protected in the `Members Only' section of the NJCUL Web site, is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is intended to be used to find information on pending legislative issues at both state and federal levels. The Web site can also be used to research information on bill status and elected officials including updated information on pending legislation, voting records for their elected officials, biographical information on state, federal, and local officials, and an online media guide with contact information for numerous newspaper, television and radio media in New Jersey. NJCUL Director of Governmental Affairs Evan Childs said the Online Action Center is "a resource any credit union executive, member or employee can use to become politically active or better informed on important issues."
