PORTLAND, Ore. – Credit card brokerage firm Asset Exchange wanted to know what credit union publication credit union executives turn to more than any other – Credit Union Times was at the top of the list. Asset Exchange commissioned a market research firm to do an anonymous survey of credit union executives to find out which credit union publication they depend on most. Credit Union Times ranked first among respondents with 67% selecting it as the publication they rely on most, followed by Credit Union Magazine, a monthly, with 51% of respondents. Credit Union Journal, the only other weekly credit union publication to make the survey, garnered just 25% of responses. (See chart for complete results.) One-hundred and twenty credit union execs responded anonymously to the survey question which asked them to: "Please list the trade magazines you look to most for information." Interestingly, unlike many surveys, Asset Exchange did not provide the respondents with multiple choice options. Instead they had to list them on their own. Of those responding, 40% were CEOs, 27% VPs of Lending; and 22%, CFOs.
