REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Barry Jolette, CEO of San Mateo CU here not only relinquished his seat as CUNA Chairman at the association’s Future Forum conference in October, but he also stepped down from serving on the CUNA Board entirely. Traditionally the CUNA chairman remains on the board for the year after their term, but Jolette said he was eager to commit his energies to the World Council of Credit Unions where he serves as treasurer. Ron McDaniel, president/CEO, Point Mugu FCU, Oxnard, Calif. was named to fill Jolette’s seat on the board in a special election held Aug. 28.
