PLANO, Texas – Aurum Technology has landed the $900 million South Carolina Federal Credit Union as a client. “Our business plan calls for us to expand into the member business services market in a rapid fashion – but we certainly didn’t want that growth to come at the expense of our existing member base. So we needed the help of a partner that could support the full spectrum of our business model and member needs and, more importantly, one that could prove they had the business knowledge and market understanding it would take to ensure our success,” said Bob Dargan, South Carolina Federal Credit Union president and CEO. Under the terms of the agreement, the 16-branch credit union will implement Aurum’s MISER core solution – which includes comprehensive business banking capabilities – for in-house operations. In addition, S.C. Federal will implement Aurum’s ViewPoint Branch Automation, a browser-based solution that will deliver teller, platform, call center and back-office functionality via the credit union’s intranet. Delivery is scheduled for November 2004. The credit union will also utilize Aurum’s advanced EFT processing solutions to give its members 24/7 access to up-to-date account information via the Aurum Switch, which also features fully integrated hot card capabilities to protect against fraud. S.C. Federal will use Aurum’s Cohesion middleware tool, which enables real-time processing between the MISER core and ancillary applications. “This is another highly visible win for us in a critical market,” stated Santo Cannone, president of Aurum’s credit union services group. “The momentum Aurum continues to demonstrate in this market reinforces our commitment to providing leading credit unions with the innovative yet proven solutions they need to optimize their service portfolios and, ultimately, their member relationships.”
