BLACKFOOT, Idaho – Westmark Credit Union is doing what it can to help kids feel safe by heading efforts to establish a Blackfoot chapter of Project Safe Place, an organization that helps children who need it. Kids simply look for the Project Safe Place logo on businesses, then employees contact on-call volunteers and counselors who will help the children with everything from getting a lost child back home safely to helping runaways or abused children find foster homes for overnight stays. The Project Safe Place logo is already displayed at 52 locations throughout Idaho Falls and counselors are available 24 hours a day. Nationwide, over the past 20 years, Project Safe Place has helped 69,456 children.
