ANCHORAGE – Alaska USA Federal Credit Union is committing its online banking and payments technology to Financial Fusion. The $2.3 billion CU has signed up New Jersey-based Viecore Inc. to lead the platform transition. The IT services specialist will help the 255,000-member CU implement key functionality such as account management, bill payment, check and statement imaging from Financial Fusion's Consumer Banking Solution. The credit union also will be deploying Financial Fusion Corporate Banking Solution, which includes ACH and stop payments, intra-bank and wire transfers and entitlements. "The solutions Viecore is providing will enable us to significantly expand the range of services we offer to our retail and business members," said B. John Shipe, CIO of Alaska USA. Alaska USA had been using Edify/S1 as its Internet banking vendor, according to the 2003 Credit Union Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
