Credit Union ONE, Ferndale, Mich., has recently celebrated the grand opening of its Compuware branch. The 3,000 square-foot branch is located on the main floor of Compuware. Credit Union ONE is the first retail business to open within the Compuware facility. Other businesses scheduled to open soon include the Hard Rock Caf, Borders Books and Heritage Optical. Insight Financial Credit Union, Orlando, Fla., has opened a new 37,000 square-foot headquarters. Designed by New Ground Resources, the three-story facility also features a full-service branch with an ATM, four drive-up lanes and high-tech multimedia components inside and out. Members can also enjoy coffee and biscotti’s while utilizing the credit union’s Internet caf. Financial Plus Federal Credit Union, Flint, Mich., has tapped design/build firm DEI, Inc., for its latest branch. The one-story, 7,475 square-foot facility will be themed to represent a Mid-West highway complete with signage to direct members throughout the facility and inform members of products and services. The theme represents the adventures of life and the ability to achieve financial freedom and independence. In addition, the facility will include a tech center, studio tellers, coin counters and a children’s area dubbed Kids Plus. MAX Federal Credit Union, Montgomery, Ala., has celebrated the grand opening of its new West Montgomery Branch. The new full service branch offers four drive-in lanes and a drive-up automated teller machine. Advantage One Federal Credit Union, Southgate, Mich., has celebrated the grand opening of its new main branch Brownstown Township. The 14,000 two-story square-foot facility is a full service branch which including four drive-up lanes and a drive-up-24 hour ATM. PARDA Federal Credit Union, Rochester, Mich., has hosted a grand opening celebration for its relocated Greenwood, South Carolina branch. The 4,000 square-foot facility includes two drive-up windows and a full-service drive-up ATM. Over 1,000 people attended the festivities, which included a PARDA money machine. Over $2,000 was given away to people who took their turn in the machine. Schools Financial Credit Union, Sacramento, Calif., has opened the doors to its latest Natomas branch. The new branch offers an ATM and full in-branch member services. An all-day grand opening celebration included giveaways, a sweepstakes, and a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. Affinity Federal Credit Union, Basking Ridge, N.J., has broken ground for its new Piscataway branch in Centennial Plaza. The 3,500 square-foot branch features five teller stations, kiosks linked to Affinity’s Home Banking platform on the Internet, safe deposit boxes, as well as two drive-up windows, a drive-up ATM, and an onsite financial advisor. Georgia Federal Credit Union, Atlanta, has decided to relocate its corporate headquarters to Gwinnett County. The facility should be complete in 2004. McCoy Federal Credit Union, Orlando, Fla., has opened its new facility which includes an administrative center and an operations building occupying over 23,000 square-feet. The administrative center houses the board of directors, administrative team and a community room. The operations center features a full service branch and is also home to accounting, data processing, marketing, human resources and training departments.
