DFCU Financial, Dearborn, Mich., has presented three high school graduates Founders' Scholarships. The recipients were selected based on outstanding academic achievement and service to the community. This year's winners include Karen Kudelko, $2,000 for up to four years; Justin Craig, $2,000; and Shira Stoorman, $2,000. Since introducing the Founders' Scholarship Program in 1998, DFCU Financial has committed more than $79,000 in scholarship funds to high school seniors who are members of the credit union. John Deere Community Credit Union,Waterloo, Iowa, has awarded a total of $25,000 to seven non-profit organizations as part of the 2003 Diversity Alliance Grant Funding. Diversity Alliance provides funding to organizations supporting diversity efforts in the community. This year's recipients include National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Grout Museum District, United Sisters of Black Hawk County, Hearst Center for the Hearts, Family YMCA of Black Hawk County, Community United Child Care Centers, and Waterloo Community Schools.
