ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management has recognized David Serlo, CEO of PSCU Financial Services as Executive Of The Year. PSCU is the organization that serves the credit card needs of over 500 credit unions that process their transactions with First Data Corporation. Executives were nominated by their corporations and were judged based on the executive’s support for employee-friendly policies and human resources activities. Serlo’s nomination by Director of Human Resources Lynn Heckler notes Serlo’s concern for “the people side” of every business issue, the company’s generous education and insurance benefits, and the presence of a human resources representative on company’s executive committee. “We are very pleased that Dave has been recognized for setting exemplary policies at PSCU Financial Services. Dave has always fostered a corporate culture that encourages learning and personal growth at the office, while acknowledging the needs of employees and their families outside of the office,” said Heckler.
