CUNA Experimenting with Virtual Board Meeting

WASHINGTON-For its quarterly board meeting in December, CUNA plans to try a Webcast for efficiencies sake. Because the Dec. 11 meeting will be held in cyber space, travel expenses and nonproductive time will be much reduced, according to CUNA Senior Vice President of Communications Mark Wolff. He added that CUNA chose to pilot the virtual board meeting in December because the agenda is limited to approving the 2004 budget. CUNA will discuss with its board members following the meeting whether they want to continue with the virtual meetings. Two board meetings a year will still be in-person since they are tied to the Governmental Affairs Conference and the Future Forum.
