NEW YORK - Identity theft has become personal for Citibank. The bank is offering identity theft victims their own team of specialists through its new Citi Identity Theft Solutions program. Designed to help save consumers significant time, money and frustration should their identity be stolen, the program is free to cardmembers. Here is how it works. Once a cardmember becomes a victim of identity theft, an IDT Specialist will open a case for the individual and, working on a one-on-one basis, will take the customer through a process that ranges from placing "Fraud Alerts" on credit reports at all three credit bureaus to monitoring the case and providing support until it is closed.
