WEBSTER, N.Y. – Despite having six investigating officers from local and federal law enforcement, police officials in Webster N.Y. say that they need more help from the public in solving the August 12 robbery of the Webster branch of the $684 million Xerox Federal Credit Union. One credit union member was killed in the course of the robbery and another wounded. The FBI has issued a reward of $20,000 for the capture and conviction of the robber. Despite getting more than 500 tips from many states, police said that most of the tips have not panned out. Police have circulated photos of the robber but they haven’t drawn the key tip, said one officer who did not want to speak for the record. “Someone out there knows something, and we need them to step forward,” the officer said.
