ALEXANDRIA, Va.- NCUA Vice Chair JoAnn Johnson addressed the Hawaii Credit Union League's Member Business Lending Workshop last week in Waikiki. "Credit unions in Hawaii can play a significant role in strengthening the viability of their members' small businesses and the local economy at the same time," Johnson said. While out there, she also spoke at the 54th Annual Fall Meeting of the National Credit Union Management Association in Kauai, Sunday, Oct. 26. Johnson had planned to discuss credit union leadership and succession planning, NCUA's enhancement of communication with credit unions, and provide an overview of the recently approved member business lending rule.
