SAN ANTONIO – IT security consultant Digital Defense is partnering with security technology provider Simpler-Webb to offer what they call a “comprehensive solution to the network security issues facing credit unions.” San Antonio-based Digital Defense provides vulnerability assessments and consulting to more than 180 credit unions, while Austin, Texas-based Simpler-Webb’s services include intrusion detection and prevention. “Through the partnership, clients will benefit from Digital Defense’s detailed views of their security posture and Simpler-Webb’s 24×7 monitoring of their network traffic for dangerous anomalies,” the companies said in their announcement, which said it was a non-financial arrangement and the two firms would continue to operate separately. Jeff Simpler, founder of Simpler-Webb, said “this new partnership … leverages our combined expertise from serving over 250 credit unions. Together, we now deliver a comprehensive solution for network security defense to credit unions of all sizes.”
