WALLINGFORD, Conn. – Following the resignation of Constitution State Corporate EVP Greg Gallant, the corporate named Bill White, manager of operations, as interim CEO. White has been with the $1 billion corporate for 16 years and has made it known that he does not want the CEO job. Constitution’s Board is currently in the midst of an executive search to find a new CEO. It is using search firm O’Rourke Career Connections. A few months ago the corporate’s CEO, David Addison, resigned to become CEO of Texans CU. The speculation was that Gallant, who was serving as interim CEO, would take over for Addison, which now will not happen. Gallant was also president of the corporate’s CUSO, SmartSource Solutions. White will take on that role as well on an interim basis. There is no word on Gallant’s future career plans. “It’s business as usual here. I’m honored by the responsibility the board has placed in me, but in the end it’s the experience of our staff and the sophisticated systems we have put in place that get the job done for our members on a daily basis,” said White. With only 32 corporates left, corporate CEO jobs are getting harder to come by.
